I'll need to resolve the video driver issue at some point, but for now I'm OK editing the startup command to get booted up. ![]() I also decided to leave Windows installed (for now) and leave the system able to dual-boot. Since I remember having a similar issue with that before that resolved itself during the install process I decided to move forward anyway. I had to use the "Replace quiet splash with nomodeset and press F10 to boot" in order to get the screen to render properly. Rather than keep digging, I thought I'd see if someone might have some ideas for me, or point me to a solution already presented here, that I have missed. ![]() I've never had any major problems before, but in setting up this new HP laptop, I've run into a couple that have me stumped for the moment. I've used Linux Mint in a semi-casual manner over a handful of releases.
